TriMas’ commitment to Environmental, Health and Safety (EH&S) begins with the safety and health of all of our employees. We consider government regulations as a minimum requirement, and, in line with our core value of Continuous Improvement, we are always implementing smarter and improved ways to safeguard our operations. Our leadership teams proactively assess risks to health and safety through facility audits, risk mitigation processes, communication, training and teamwork. We continuously strive to improve our health and safety systems, utilizing best practices to implement improvement plans.
There are many examples of our EH&S improvements, which we are making every day. One such example is a recycling program within our Norris Cylinder business, which has eliminated 90,000 pounds of waste over the past two years alone, and many of our other plants have received recognition for their environmental achievements. We are committed to taking all appropriate measures to help assure that our manufacturing, transportation and waste disposal activities are consistent with the protection of the environment. Through continuous employee training, monitoring and a keen awareness, our plants have been successful with ISO certifications and system audits.
We consider our environmental policies to be an extension of our business ethics, and we respect our roles as stewards of the environment for future generations.
